It's summer - the season for picnics! We can't think of a better way to spend the day than with a picnic. We've carefully selected our favourite picnic setup tips and lovely KNUS products for you to try. So what are you waiting for - get those picnic baskets ready and surprise someone with a lovely picnic!
1. Trendy tapestry
Select trendy tapestry or any decorative fabric for your outdoor picnic. You don't have to stick to the red and white checkered blanket look, get creative, add colour and textures! Our favourite KNUS picnic pick is the beautiful Picnic Kilims from Ecru. This locally-made picnic rug is lightweight, has a durable waterproof backing, packs easily so you can take it anywhere making it the perfect travel companion on any outdoor adventure, picnic or safari!
2. Wooden cheese boards
A picnic without a cheese board is...we have no idea, but it doesn't quite sound right! A picnic needs a cheese board, fill your board with a variety of cheeses, some crackers or fresh bread. Add fresh fruits for colour and variation, some olives and nuts also looks great on a cheese board. Plus we've got some beautiful wooden cutlery - perfect for a picnic.
3. Add some scatter cushions
By adding scatter cushions to your picnic set up you'll create a comfortable space to relax. You can use the pillows as seating or even create a nice backrest for your guests. Adding scatter cushions allows you to play with colour and texture. And you might even want to add blankets too, especially for a sunset picnic.
4. Add a special touch with fresh flowers
Create a beautiful centrepiece with a bunch of fresh flowers. This will definitely add a special touch to your picnic. Place them in a beautiful vase or basket to add to the picnic aesthetic.
5. Gorgeous glassware
Skip the plastic - it's way better for the planet too & add some gorgeous glassware to your picnic. Because, a sunset picnic calls for bubbles out of pretty glassware!
